USAGE GUIDE

Part of shooting and owning a gun involves caring for your firearm. You will need to clean your gun in order for it to work properly. Just like anything else, if it isn’t cleaned the right way and with the right tools, it won’t work as efficiently. Yongkang jujian brush co. ltd. is here to share some tips to help you clean your gun like a pro.

Gather the Right Gun Cleaning Kits & Solvents

Before you get started cleaning your firearm, you need to gather some tools. It will take more than a cloth to get your firearm clean

Cleaning Rod

When choosing the right cleaning rod, consider the gun you will be cleaning. You want a rod that is made of a softer material than the steel of the barrel of your gun. You will choose a different cleaning rod for a handgun than you would a rifle.

Jag or Loop

This is an attachment for the end of your cleaning rod. A jag has a sharp tip to hold the cleaning patch as you push it through the bore. A loop does the same thing; you just insert the cleaning patch through the loop to hold it in place.

Gun Cleaning Patches

You can buy cleaning patches in bulk to help get the grime off your gun. Not only do you use them to clean the bore, but you can use them to wipe down other parts of your gun as well.

Cleaning Brush

Pick a cleaning brush that won’t damage the inside of your barrel. Bronze brushes are a great choice, and for lighter cleaning, you can use nylon brushes. Discard them after a time since they break down with each use.

Oil Bottle

It takes certain fluids to get your firearm clean. Those include a solvent, degreaser, lubricant, and protectant.

Gun Tooth Brush

This type of brush is made specifically to clean the nooks and crannies of your gun. It’s a good investment to make and will ensure your firearm gets completely cleaned.

Find a Ventilated Space to Clean Your Firearm

When you are cleaning your gun, you will be using some strong chemicals and solvents. You should find a place that has good ventilation to keep yourself safe. It is very unwise to smoke around this area since many of the chemicals used to clean your gun are flammable.

Disassemble Your Gun

Cleaning your gun will be much more effective if you disassemble it. This will make it easier to get rid of all the dirt and grime that accumulates over time. If you don’t feel completely comfortable about disassembling your gun, you may want to seek the help of a qualified gunsmith for help until you get your bearings straight.

Use a Gun Cleaning Tray

You need to clean every little piece of your gun. Don’t assume that it is just a quick wipe down and you’re done. Take your time and get every part of your gun completely clean. You will be glad you did when your gun works flawlessly. There are many small parts to your gun and you need every single one. It is wise to clean your gun with a tray underneath you to catch all the little parts and keep them in one place. If you lose even the smallest pin or spring, you will have a useless gun.
